In 2014, the Bureau A collective CH created Antoine, a fake rock transformed into a viable living unit fig. 5, and Tarik Hayward CH made Unity Temple, a massive sculpture made of dry cement bags, designed to formally evolve with the meteorological conditions of the site fig 6. At first sight, both of these works can be considered formally and conceptually successful. In both cases, the artists approach the context with some wit and humour. But the results are anecdotal and banal for anyone who knows this context and its cultural representations. Indeed, many artists have addressed the Swiss clich\u00e9 of military facilities taking the form of natural elements, the issue of the Alps becoming covered in concrete and the development of the hydroelectric and tourism industries in the Valais. Antoine and Unity Temple simply represent additional variations on these themes without adding anything to the understanding of the context. Instead, they repeatedly take part in the production and diffusion of existing representations.
